Nissan Leaf Starts Production in Japan

24/10/2010 13:16Liputan6.com, Yokohama: Nissan has started production for the model 2011 in the factory Nissan Leaf Oppama, Japan, which also produces Juke and Cube models. Leaf model export to the United States is scheduled to begin in November and followed by exports to Europe in December.
Leaf is already planned for U.S. dealers should have been before Christmas, with first deliveries to customers in Europe are scheduled in early 2011.
Nissan also plans to open a Leaf production in the second assembly plant in Smyrna, Tennessee, in late 2012, and followed by a third assembly plant in early 2013 in Sunderland, England. Third production plan will provide Nissan with a capacity to build a Leaf in a year reached 250,000.
